Already as a child, Dana LaMonda looked upwards, to the rooftops, to the sidelines, towards the grass; behind herself, to the people.  

Curiosity needs space and in Dana's life this went together with taking trips and loving photography. 

Those who see with the eyes of children are never home before it's time to eat.  That's how a photographer lives:  careless with time and careful with what is happening. The present moment is followed, captured, cherished.  

When studying people, they wait for an unposed moment. Even trash is an object of interest since that to which people attach no worth may say the most about them.

In some ways photos form our secondary memory. When photographers like Dana LaMonda spot that which for us is unimportant, they capture it,  
give it back to us and say:

"look again, see how beautiful."
